The survey also clearly indicated the confusion between “Certification” and “Membership” in the association. Certification provides you with your regular inspections, which allows you to use your IPPC stamp and manufacture/repair/heat treat wood packaging destined for export. As a Certification client, you are provided with information on changes to the CWPCP program and rules concerning wood packaging.
Membership in the Canadian Wood Pallet & Container Association is voluntary, and is not included in the cost of Certification. Being a member of the CWPCA provides you with industry representation, networking, promotion for the wood packaging industry and our members. We strive to be a knowledge centre for our members, sharing information on the industry but also on ways in which to improve and grow their business.
