Read more about Dr. Dave here.
Also on the agenda are Leigh Greenwood, an expert on invasive pests from the Nature Conservancy, and Keta Kosman from Madison's Lumber Report.

Optional Event Information

Whale watching: Eagle Wing Tours, located within a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The tour is approximately 4 hours long. Closed in footwear and dressing in layers is recommended.

Fishing: Reel Obsession Sport Fishing will be taking you on a 5 hr salmon/halibut fishing adventure. You will be picked up within a five minute walk of the hotel. Snacks and refreshments will be provided on board, and are included in the cost. Just bring your BC fishing licence! Vacuum-packed, flash freezing airline preparation services are available at a cost of $2.25 per lb. Please Note: In order to guarantee a spot for this event, you must register prior to February 15, 2019. Boats will only be reserved for the number of people registered at that time.

Golf Tournament: Olympic View Golf Course. A beautiful championship course rated in the top thirty five in Canada, amidst a dense lush North Pacific evergreen forest. Gardens abound the challenging 18 holes with many lakes, rock outcroppings, and even a few waterfalls. Each hole has a personality of its own, making for an exciting game that favours no specific shot, other than accuracy due to the tightness of some of the fair-ways. This course is perfect for the golfer not minding tighter lies, and smaller target areas, along undulating fairways. This is a must play while visiting Victoria. (Club rentals are available at a cost of $45) This event in-cludes transportation to/from the hotel and a box breakfast to go.
