Memo to clients - new procedures

This memo will inform all participants in the Canadian Wood Packaging Certification Program (CWPCP) of changes to increase the level of service to our clients:

  1. A reminder that our invoice for the 2012 year will be issued on December 1st and is payable by January 5th. Unpaid clients will be submitted to CFIA for deletion from the list of eligible facilities by mid-January.
  2. When revising your Quality Manual, send a COMPLETE document (not just amended sections) with all changes noted in your amendment log. Forward your complete revision by email in doc-PDF-rtf-txt format, by fax or by Canada Post.
  3. Send your complete revision to your CWPCP inspector for review, but do not enact your planned changes until you have been informed that your changes are approved. Do not forward your revision to the CFIA.
  4. A reminder of our September memo, that non-compliance with the ISPM-15 rules for design of your stamp will be viewed as a major Non-Conformance.

We trust that these changes will support your operations under the CWPCP. We thank you for your suggestions and encourage you to suggest other measures which will allow us to meet your phytosanitary needs.
